Settings Documentation
The Stock Management (Zeiierman) system provides a configurable interface that allows users to customize how their portfolio data is displayed, calculated, and organized. Each setting controls a specific part of the portfolio table, summary table, or data inputs.
1. User Currency
Purpose: Select the currency in which all portfolio metrics are displayed.
Effect: Changing the user currency updates:
Individual stock Value
Profit & Loss (absolute)
Summary table Portfolio Value
Summary table Profit & Loss
This setting ensures users can view the portfolio in their preferred currency regardless of the underlying market currency.

2. Visibility Controls (1–10)
These toggles allow users to hide or show specific metrics in the main portfolio table.
The metrics include:
Tickers
Sector
Price
Paid
Shares
Stock Value
Stock Weight
Profit & Loss
Profit & Loss %
Today %
Enabling or disabling these checkboxes updates which columns are displayed.

3. Recommended Portfolio Allocation
Purpose: Adds an allocation model designed to provide a more balanced, risk-adjusted portfolio structure.
Features:
Displays recommended weights, shares, and value for each holding.
Users can input a custom capital amount.
If a value is entered, the allocation is calculated using this amount.
If set to 0, the system uses the current portfolio value as the capital base.
This feature helps investors to optimize their holdings based on risk-adjusted returns weighting.

4. Table Header Customization
Allows full control over header color styling for the main table. Users can assign colors individually to different headers for easier visual differentiation.

5. Table Order
Purpose: Manages both the order and inclusion of table columns.
How it works: Enter the metric numbers separated by commas to define the table structure. For example: 1,3,6,7 → displays Tickers, Price, Stock Value, and Stock Weight in that order.
Only metrics included in this list will appear in the table.

6. Dividend Information
When enabled, the system adds dividend data to the table:
Amount
Ex-Date
Pay-Date
If no dividend is declared, the system shows: “No dividend decided yet.”
Dividend Amount Calculation: payout per share × shares held
This helps users track expected income and dividend timelines.

7. Summary Table
Displays a summary section containing high-level portfolio metrics. Customization options include:
Color settings
Location within the layout
Visibility toggle
This provides a quick overview of total portfolio value, gains, and other aggregate metrics.

8. Tickers and Holdings
This section is where users input or enable their portfolio holdings.
Each row contains:
A Ticker field
Shares (left input box)
Paid per share (right input box)
These values are used to calculate stock value, PnL, and other metrics throughout the system.

9. Save Defaults Settings
Located in the bottom-left corner.
Function: Users can save all current settings—including holdings, visibility preferences, ordering, and color choices—by selecting Save as default.
These saved preferences automatically load the next time the system is opened.
