Updating your indicator or toolkit in TradingView is quick and easy.

  2. Look for the Update Icon: A purple 🔄 icon will appear next to the indicator's title on the chart.

  3. Click the Icon: Click on the purple update icon and select "Update to Latest Version" from the dropdown.

Method 2: Manual Update Process

  1. Refresh Your Browser or App: If the update icon does not appear automatically, try refreshing your browser or the TradingView app.

  2. Remove the Indicator: Click on the indicator in your chart and remove it.

  3. Re-add the Indicator: Navigate to the and re-add the indicator. This will add the latest version to your chart.

Make sure to save your chart layout after installing the update. This way, the updated indicator will remain on your chart layout instead of getting lost in future sessions.

Retaining Previous Versions (Optional)

While it's recommended to always use the latest version of the indicator, we understand that one may want to retain a copy of the previous version for reference or testing.

Here's how to save a previous version:

  1. Before Updating: If you'd like to save a copy of the current version of the indicator, go to Template in TradingView and click Save As.

  2. Save the Template: Name the template and save it to keep a backup of the indicator version before updating.

  3. Revert to Older Version: If you prefer the previous version, you can always go back to the saved template and re-apply it to your chart.

Go to You've Added to Favorites or Liked.

Follow the to receive automatic alerts for new updates.

By following these steps, you can ensure that you are always using the latest and most effective tools. If you encounter any issues during the update process, refer to our or for assistance.
